Technology in sports, not such an unusual combination,; using applications from industry, logistics and healthcare in a sports event has become common business. At the cycling event BotB, Phi Data will bring this extra dimension by registering the arrival time of the courageous cyclers at the top of one ascent. A RFID tag attached to the bike will register the unique ID at the start & arrival of the ascent and sent it to a remote server via the 3G network, together with a time stamp. In the bike village, the cyclers will discover their individual results.
